Where is Truro?
The UK’s most southerly city lies in mid-Cornwall, blossoming out from the Truro River. Some believe that the name Truro is derived from the Cornish word ‘tri-veru’, which means three rivers, referring to the Kenwyn, the Allen and the Truro River (which joins the River Fal), which all run through the city.
Due to this location, Truro thrived as a trading port for many years, with evidence of a prosperous heritage lining the historic streets.
Truro is just a 15-minute drive from us at The Valley. The cathedral city is also within close range of other Cornish hot spots, being a 30-minute drive to Falmouth, Redruth and St Austell respectively.
