A trio of gold medal winners from this year’s Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show will be exhibiting at the Royal Cornwall Show this June.
Burncoose Nurseries from Redruth, Chris Osborne from Kelnan Plants in Little Kenegie and Trewidden Nursery will be attending the show in Wadebridge from Thursday the 4th until Saturday 6th June.
The local Chelsea winners will be joined from fellow gold medal winners from across the country, who are travelling to Cornwall especially for the show. Burncoose Nurseries not only won gold medals, but also won the highly sought after RHS Plant of the Year 2015 title, with their shrub “Kilimanjaro Sunrise”.
Winners from Cheshire, Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet will be travelling to Cornwall in the hope of replicating their recent Chelsea success at the Royal Cornwall Show. The show will be slightly different this year, with a change to the layout thanks to increasing popularity.
The public will also be more actively involved this year, as over the three days, visitors will be asked to vote for their favourite entry in the best trade exhibit in the show. Whomever finishes with the highest number of votes on the 6th June will be declared the winner.
If you are looking to attend the Royal Cornwall Show this year, our Cornwall cottages are located within driving distance of the show, and will make a great base for you to enjoy the joys the show will have to offer.
