Trewithen Gardens
Trewithen Gardens is a world-recognised, RHS recommended, ‘International Camellia Society Garden of Excellence.’ Boasting a botanical haven of prestigious plants and famously rare shrubberies, the famous gardens homes champion trees, rare shrubs, exotic fern collections, wildflowers, woodland glades and a 300 year old private lawn.

This historical, privately-owned Cornish estate hosts plenty of exciting and inspiring discoveries ready for you and your child to explore. Adult tickets are priced at £8.50 per adult, but children under 12 are admitted for free. For more information check out their website.

Healeys Cyder Farm
For adults who enjoy a nice beverage why not pop on down to Healeys Cyder Farm and enjoy a fabulous tour.

The previously run-down farm gave David and Kay Healey the perfect location to plant, refine and develop fabulous orchards, eventually fulfilling their dream of producing the finest of Cornish ciders. Some of the produce made by the farm include Cornish Gold, the popular Cornish Rattler and their signature brand Healeys ciders, as well as a few whiskey based products.

Adult tickets start at £6.50 depending on the guided tour you participate in. There will also be the opportunity for you to taste, and purchase, some exquisite products, so make sure you pop on down. For more information check out their website.

Kennal Vale
Kennal Vale is the perfect place for children and adults alike. This granite quarry used to be one of Cornwall’s gunpowder plots, which built gunpowder mills required by the mining industry.

The quarry was established in the early 19th Century and still possesses a fantastic amount of history – combined with an array of man-made leats, wooded slopes, open glades and hidden trees, there is so much for you and your child to discover. Find out more here.
