5 Things to do this half term in Cornwall!
Half term is only 1 week away, so to get you in the mood for a week of fun and frolics, have a look at the activities going on within easy reach of our luxury Cornwall holiday cottages:
- Pirates and Smugglers at Pendennis Castle.
Set sail for Pendennis this half term to join in the seafaring shenanigans! With tales of the high seas, musket drill, pirate top trumps and a children’s battle, as well as ongoing craft and activity sessions your little pirates and smugglers will have a whale of a time!
- Family Wild Walk at Trelissick Gardens.
Come on a half term family wild walk and find places to hide, secrets to uncover and wildlife to encounter – there is so much to discover when you are walking! It’s also an opportunity to tick off some of the 50 things to do before you’re 11 and ¾’s! For those with four-legged friends, this walk is pet friendly and welcomes dogs on leads. Trelissick Gardens is only a 5 minute drive from The Valley’s luxury holiday cottages!
- Den Building with the Rangers at Penrose Estate.
Join the National Trust Rangers for a morning in the woods and learn to build a shelter that will withstand the elements! They recommend wellies and warm clothes, as well as waterproofs to keep the muddy woodland at bay.
- Tudor Trinkets and Treasures at Godolphin House
The Tudors were known for their elaborate jewellery and extravagant styles. Come along and create your own Tudor trinkets, to put in our treasure box or take home and dress up in true Tudor style at Godolphin this half term.
- Pup Season at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Gweek.
One of the great things to do in half term is visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary to visit this years pups. The nursery and hospital pools tend to be busy at this time of year with some of the cutest whiskered faces you’ll see being given round the clock care until they are ready to be released back into the wild. The Sanctuary is dog friendly as well.
