A recent survey has revealed how Cornwall is the most favoured UK holiday destination for Brits holidaying within the UK, making our Cornish holiday cottages the perfect escape!
The new survey conducted by QHotels show that 71% or 34 million adults in Britain are planning to take at least one UK based break this year with a staggering 50% saying Cornwall the place they would like to visit most!
This rising figure is said to be attributed to ‘concerns over growing holiday costs and increasing fears over terrorism abroad’.
Gill Charlton, Cornwall expert for Telegraph Travel spoke about some of the joys of Cornwall;
“Cornwall is defined by its magnificent coastline with 300 miles of dunes and cliffs, medieval harbours and oak-forested creeks – and every mile accessible on foot. Such an unspoilt coastline inspires Enid Blyton-style adventures [and] surfing is big draw for all ages.”
