Falmouth Oyster Festival
If you read our previous piece on the Falmouth Oyster Festival you will know that we are pretty excited about this event. This nationally recognised festival indulges the start of the Oyster dredging season and offers a whole bar dedicated to tasting the delightful delicacy. An oyster bar isn’t the only charming cuisine available at the festival, with an array of different types of seafood you can expect to try a variety of Cornwall seafood favourites, washed down with a delicious glass of champagne. Arts, crafts, ales, stouts and beers will also be plentiful during this event alongside some fantastic Cornish music entertainment.

The event runs from Thursday 8th October until Sunday 11th October so make sure you head on down. You can find out more information here.

Ride the Trafalgar Way
Ride the Trafalgar Way, described as the UK’s most innovative sport, follows the acclaimed Trafalgar route where visitors and residents alike can cycle, either in teams or as a solo rider, from Falmouth to London. The Trafalgar journey is bursting with historical sites and information, and is a great way to entertain adults and children. Including four different options for your adventure including Colossus, Britannia, Conqueror and Victory, this activity offers something for everyone. For more information visit the Ride the Trafalgar Way website.

Moonlight Memory Walk
If you’re feeling adventurous and fancy meeting some wonderful women, holiday makers and Cornish residents included, then why not take part in this fabulous midnight walk across the moonlight streets of Cornwall. Encouraging women of all ages to take part, this ladies-only walk is a special event dedicated to the memories of lost loved one. All participants are welcome to the event, which commences on Saturday 17th October, beginning at 10.00pm, and offers a great way to explore Cornwall whilst making some long lasting friendships. Find out more here.

Cornwall Beer Festival
Cornwall’s largest ever beer festival is nearly here and with it brings three whole days of fabulous ales and great beers. Showcasing more than 200 mouth-watering ales, ciders, beers and perries, there is no excuse for you not to join in and sample the best booze that Cornwall has to offer. Of course, a great beer should always be partnered with some great food, and thank goodness the festival displays some amazing local ‘pub grub’ too. Wash this all down with some brilliant Cornish entertainment and you’ve got yourself an incredible Cornish experience to enjoy during your holiday.

The festival beings on Thursday 22nd October and continues until Saturday 24th October. For more information, including opening times and ticket prices, take a look at the following website.
