Easter is just around the corner and Spring has sprung here at The Valley. With so many fabulous Easter activities to choose from, we thought we’d give you a little help – presenting our pick of the Easter Egg Hunts!
The Valley – Of course no list is complete without a mention of our own Easter Egg Hunt here at The Valley, not forgetting an appearance from the Easter Bunny on our very own woodland trail.
Bodmin and Wenford – Step back in time on a visit to Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway, where over Easter Sunday and Monday everyone’s favourite piglet Peppa Pig will be making appearances throughout the day and there will be face painting, egg hunting and balloon modelling too!
Newquay Zoo – This Easter, Newquay Zoo have all sorts happening including Meerkat and Penguin feeding sessions, face painting, Easter bonnet making and a daily duck race as well as the egg hunt.
Paradise Park – It’s the park’s 40th year, so the staff will be in 70’s costume this Easter! Follow the Easter quiz trail around Paradise Park to find your clues and even to spot a dinosaur egg or two. The Flying Shows are back as well, with the Eagles of Paradise and the Free Flying Birdshow.
Heligan Gardens – Hop over to Heligan this Easter and find out what a swallow’s egg looks like, where woodpeckers like to make their nests and how big an emu’s eggs are. Help feed the chickens, ducks and geese in the Poultry Orchard, then head over to Egg HQ in the Yurt for arts and crafts – make a bunny headdress, decorate an egg and make a mud nest for your pretty egg!
Eden Project – At Eden this Easter, travel the world without leaving the country, as you follow clues and find eggs and amazing tales in the Rainforest, Mediterranean and the great outdoors. Then, join in with Chocolate Unwrapped – Eden’s chocolate festival where you can learn about the history of chocolate, make your own chocolate bar, play the chocolate trading game, listen to storytellers and chat with chocolatiers.
So, even if you can’t decide which Easter Egg Hunt you’ll be at (or if you’ll be going to all of them!) they’re even better when combined with one of our Cornwall self catering holidays at The Valley with a pool, spa pool and exclusive bar and restaurant.
