Cornwall boasts several top-notch eateries. From Michelin star restaurants and fish and chip shops to delicious pub lunches and quirky cafes serving up cream tea. But did you know there are lots of fantastic burger joints too? If you fancy a big bite while enjoying a luxury family holiday in Cornwall, here are some of the best burger joints to visit in the county.

Hubbox, Truro, Pentewan and St Ives

Hubbox started out as a pop-up restaurant in a shipping box but has seen a surge in popularity leading to expanding across the South West. The menu is American street food inspired, and the award-winning burgers are made in house using Cornish beef and complimented by a range of craft beers. The variations will have your mouth watering just by reading the menu!

The Meat Counter, Falmouth

In Falmouth, you can find The Meat Counter amongst the seafood restaurants. The restaurant serves up some of the best American-style food found in Cornwall, with the burgers cooked fresh to order and enjoyed with a craft beer or two. The sides are excellent too, the skin-on fries being something we recommend. There are some tasty vegetarian options too!

Craftworks, Truro and Padstow

Padstow has a long of fabulous eateries, including Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, but if you are after burgers, head to Craftworks. The restaurant began as a food truck, popping up at events such as Boardmasters and the Masked Ball. Craftworks Street Kitchen has since become very popular with locals and visitors alike and has expanded from Truro to another outlet in Padstow. If you don’t fancy a burger, they also serve nachos, tacos and burritos.

Blas Burgerworks, St Ives

You could easily miss Blas Burgerworks in St Ives, as it’s hidden down a secluded street, The Warren. For those in the know, you will find a stellar menu just waiting to be discovered and devoured. They pride themselves on their ethical approach to the food they serve, offering handmade, locally sourced burgers for vegetarians, vegans and meat-eaters. Everything, from the sides to the puddings, is locally sourced, so you know you are getting top-range delicious Cornish food.

Sam’s Diner, Par

This retro joint in Par, near St Austell, serves up brilliant burgers for every diner. There are 12 varieties of Samburger, crafted from one original recipe which dates back to 1988. The menu is continually evolving, as the chefs and owners develop and explore new flavours. Each time you visit, there will be something new along with regular house specials, and expertly crafted dishes. The perfect accompaniment to these burgers? A fabulous cocktail!
