One of the biggest events on the Cornwall calendar, the Truro Festival, which finished on Easter Sunday, has been hailed by visitors and organisers alike as the most ambitious and best yet.
Over 102 events took place over 10 days, bringing thousands of locals and visitors alike to the city, and included a variety of music, workshops, seminars, dance, comedy, food, art, film and other pursuits, with something for everyone to enjoy.
The festival started off with a bang as dancers from the Jason Thomas Dance Company brought music and movements to the stage. Most of the festival’s action took place in the city’s Lemon Quay, made into a festival village for the occasion, which featured yurts, food stalls, a green area and an open air stage, though some events also took place in venues across the city, such as the City Hall and the Royal Cornwall Museum.
